I am playing Skyblock in Minecraft, and I can't get animals to spawn. It is on level 64 in a beach biome, all grass, all light up, and nothing will spawn. The grass area is 16x16, so 1 chunk. Please help! Thank you.

Nov 12, 2016 You will need a spawner, or a donor250+ to spawn mobs in. If you use a spawner, a 3x3 grass pad in light will spawn non-hostile animals while a regular spawner in the dark will spawn hostile mobs. Donor250's can spawn some non-hostile mobs, while donor400's can. Passive mobs also have the chance to spawn on existing chunks, but at a much reduced rate compared to hostile mobs. Passive mobs need a light level of at least 9 and a grass block to spawn in this manner. Animals other than squids will not spawn in ocean and desert. Obviously, squids only spawn in water, which generally means ocean.
